Definition of Massage:

Massage is as old as man himself and has evolved through the need to relieve soreness in the body. We instinctively rub a part of the body if it is knocked. This is a subconscious action that soothes. Touch has played a central role as an instrument of healing.

Massage is a treatment to ease the stresses and strains of everyday life. It can ease tension, soothe aching muscles, improve blood and lymph flow and give a feeling of wellbeing.

Effects of Massage:

  • Breaks down adhesions and nodules
  • Helps to mobilise the joints, ease painful joints and keep the joints supple

Massage is a beneficial and pleasant form of treatment in relieving stress-related symptoms.

Massage helps to reconnect our mind with our body, helping them to function as a balanced and integrated whole with renewed self-esteem

Massage increases circulation, resulting in the outflow of toxins and improving the body's natural mechanism

Massage relaxes and so enables the body to release its own natural painkillers, and in turn tense muscles begin to loosen and calms the nerves.

Massage can help to overcome long-standing emotional and physical problems and give renewed energy.

Tsuboki ® Face, Foot or Hand Massage

Tsuboki ® Face Massage

Using anma (Japanese massage) and acupressure techniques, this massage affects the deep and superficial muscles of the face, reduces the development of wrinkles, improves the appearance of the skin, and encourages the elimination of metabolic waste products.

The stimulation of acupressure points and meridians will help to balance the whole body.

  • neck massage
  • detailed face massage
  • 50 acupressure points
  • 8 meridians
  • lymphatic drainage
For the massage I use camellia oil, a light and easily absorbed medium that has been used in traditional Japanese Face Massage for centuries.

Clients report feeling incredibly relaxed during the massage, but very soon afterwards, energised and revitalised.

Tsuboki ® Foot Massage

"Ageing begins in the feet" - old Japanese proverb.

Indeed, the feet are the foundation of our whole body, so keeping them supple and healthy has far-reaching effects. Foot massage works on many levels:

According to principles of reflexology, the whole of the body is mapped out on the soles of the feet

According to the principles of acupressure, by pressing the points and meridians on the feet, we can influence energy along the whole meridian

Foot massage makes us feel special and feels good!

Let yourself be pampered.

A treatment consists of massage with and without oil, with the hands and with a ridoki (roller).

Tsuboki ® Hand Massage

We use our hands frequently - they work very hard for us and we tend to take them for granted, it is only when they begin to let us down with arthritis, loss of grip or dexterity that we realise how important they are! Therefore let us look after our hands because very often it is our hands that show our age before our face, by keeping them in good condition we feel good about ourselves.

To have this wonderful therapy there is no need to undress and it can be performed sitting, lying or reclining hence an easy treatment for people with disabilities too.

The whole body is mapped out on the hands just as it is on the feet - so why not treat these hard working pieces of your body to 45 minutes to release tension, increase flexibility and paying attention to all the important parts of your body...
