Chakra
There is a tremendous amount of information about chakras. This is just a synopsis to help with your awareness of them.
Chakra is a Sanskrit work and means 'wheel' or 'turning'.
We have seven major chakras and these are in line with the endocrine system.
Each chakra emanates a colour (the colours of the rainbow).
- At the bottom of the spine is the base or root chakra
- In the belly under the naval is the sacral chakra
- In the stomach under the rib cage is the solar plexus chakra
- In the centre of the chest is the heart chakra
- In the throat is the throat chakra
- In the forehead between the eyes is the third eye or brow chakra
- At the top of the head is the crown chakra
The chakra system is how the body deals with currents of energy.
The BASE/ROOT - emanates the colour red
When we have insecurities about money, home, relationships and job, etc this is the charkra which is out of balance.
It is the chakra which is connected to the adrenals and the ovaries/testes in the endocrine system of the physical and supplies the skeleton, legs and elimination system with energy and links with our sense of smell.
The SACRAL - emanates the colour orange
When we are out of touch with our body's wants and needs this is the chakra which is out of balance.
It is the chakra which is connected to the adrenals and the ovaries/testes in the endocrine system of the physical and supplies the abdomen and lower back with energy and links with our sense of taste.
The SOLAR PLEXUS - emanates the colour yellow
When our personal power, self-esteem, confidence, gut-feelings and intuition are not functioning, this is the chakra which is out of balance.
It is the chakra which is connected to the adrenals in the endocrine system of the physical and supplies the stomach, gall bladder, spleen, liver, skin and muscles with energy and links with our sense of sight.
The HEART - emanates the colour green
When our emotional power is all over the place this is the chakra which is out of balance.
It is the chakra which is connected to the thymus gland and the heart organ in the endocrine system of the physical and supplies the heart, lungs and the immune system with energy and links with our sense of touch.
The THROAT - emanates the colour sky blue
When we are not speaking our truth or asking for help and able to receive this is the chakra which is out of balance.
It is the chakra which is connected to the thyroid and parathyroid glands in the endocrine system of the physical and supplies the shoulders, arms and hands with energy and links with our sense of hearing.
The BROW/THIRD EYE - emanates the colour indigo/midnight blue
When we suffer with headaches this is the chakra which is out of balance.
It is the chakra which is connected to the pituitary and pineal glands in the endocrine system of the physical and gives us a psychic perception and power to our mind.
The CROWN - emanates the colour violet
When we do not have a sense of direction, feel stuck or at a crossroad this is the chakra which is out of balance.
It is the chakra which is connected to the pituitary and pineal glands in the endocrine system of the physical and calms the nervous system.
